SINGING FOR PLEASURE<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\t\n\t\n\t\n\t\n\t\n\t\n\t\n\t\n\t
The group sings mainly two and 3 part harmony songs of all kinds from folk songs to new songs to show songs, but always for pleasure. We meet every Friday morning, in term time, in the Victoria Hall at Holy Trinity Church which is adjacent to the main Parish Hall . Mike Hastie takes the sessions with a pianist Carl Schofield as accompanist. We are limited by the size of the room to 50 members and currently have a waiting list for ladies but would welcome any Tenor or Bass. There are no qualification or audition requirements but an ability to read or follow music would be an advantage. The group has been running since 2001 and gives public performances every 6 months or so to generate monies for new music. Fees are \u00a315.00 per (10 week) term, which pays for the hire of the room and pianist and makes a contribution to the music costs<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n
